Loreto High School Limuru was founded in 1936. The School was founded by the Sisters of Loreto, who came from Ireland to Kenya in 1921 as Catholic missionaries to improve Girl’s Education. The school is Sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi.

The school admits students with 350 marks and above. For continuing students, the should have at least a B in the previous exams.
