Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Be a holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or 8 Semesters
equivalent with a mean grade of at least a C+(C Plus) or equivalent Full time
qualification as determined by the Council of Legal Education, OR
– Be a holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) (or
equivalent certificate as determined by the council of legal education) with a
mean grade of at least a C( C Plain) or equivalent qualification as determined
by the Council of Legal Education and a distinction or credit pass in a
diploma accredited by the Council of Legal Education,  OR
-Be a holder of Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at
least two Principal passes (Principal A, B or C)or equivalent qualification as

Applied Mathematics Mathematics as a single subject or as a major of two subjects, with a substantial number
of units of Applied Mathematics, studied at the degree level at JKUAT or any other 4 Semesters
University recognized by the University senate. Part-time
-Under exceptional circumstances, a holder of a bachelors degree with Lower Second (Evenings &
Saturdays))
Class Honours or its equivalent may be eligible for registration provided that the
candidate can produce evidence of proven research ability in Applied Mathematics.
Msc. Be a holder of at least second Class Honours having studied Statistics  as a single
Statistics subject or as a major of two subjects studied at JKUAT or at any other University
recognized by University Senate 4 Semesters
OR Part-time
Under exceptional circumstances a holder of a bachelors degree with Lower Second (Evenings &
Saturdays)
Class Honours or its equivalent may be eligible for registration provided that the
candidate can produce evidence of a proven research ability in an appropriate branch of
Statistics.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMPUTING

B.Sc. in IT -Mean Grade: KCSE C+ and Grade C in English and Mathematics  Or
-Two Principal Passes in A-Level/Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education( KACE) Or 8 Semesters
-A pass in diploma in Information Technology, Management & Information Technology (MIT) Or (Full time )
Computer Technology. Or
-Any equivalent qualification recognized by JKUAT University Senate.
Bachelor of Computer Technology -Mean Grade: KCSE C+ (Plus) and an average grade of C + (C Plus) in one of the following combinations of three
subjects taken in K.C.S.E. (or equivalent examination) 8 Semesters
i. Mathematics Physics, Chemistry (Fulltime)
ii. Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science
EITHER
-A  principal pass  in Maths or Physics plus one other principal  pass in a  science subject in “A”  level/Kenya
Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE)/General Certificate of Education (GCE). OR
-Diploma in relevant subjects and with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the University
Senate. OR
-Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology with at least a credit pass in relevant subjects from an
