The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into Medical Courses for the academic year 2017/2018 as PRE-SERVICE REGULAR CATEGORY in her campuses situated in different parts of the country. The successful PRE-SERVICE REGULAR students will join the college in September 2017.

Courses Application:

All applications are ONLINE from the application portal on this website www.kmtc.ac.ke. The prospective candidates apply for admission into Courses for each academic year for Regular or Parallel Category. The Regular category have subsidized fee with optional accommodation but no choice for Campus while the parallel category have non subsidized fee, no accommodation option but have option for Campuses choice in more than Forty one (65) campuses situated in different parts of the country depending on the courses.

Procedure:

  • Prospective candidates are expected to visit the applicants’ portal, read the advertisement to know the various courses and their specific entry requirements.
  • Candidates interested in making an application are advised to READ the application guidelines (preservice/Inservice) available on the application portal
  • Candidates are advised to follow the steps carefully given in the application guideline to the end to be sure of application success.
  • Take note that the application period has timelines as stipulated on the advertisement please observe them

Advices to applicants

All applicants to KMTC are advised to ensure that their applications are correctly done so as to compete for opportunities fairly; some of the areas to note are as follows;

  1. KMTC has many courses at various levels and varying entry requirement clusters hence taking time to read the advertisement that has key information necessary for the application to be made with clear information
  2. Determine the course you would like to study and be sure you qualify.
  3. Plan for your training at KMTC on time, funding and social support
  4. Be ready to take up your course if successful in any part of this country since our campuses are spread all over the country
  5. Follow APPLICATION GUIDELINES and ensure you have applied in time and correctly
  6. Remain active on email remembering your credentials that you can access your email at any time.

KMTC Application process

Applications will be made ONLINE with an application fee of Ksh. 2022 payable via MPESA paybill No. 964150 following the procedure outlined in the KMTC website (www.kmtc.ac.ke). Applications are opened between Tuesday 11 th April 2017 to Sunday May 14 th 2017. Requirements for creating a new account

You must have a valid email address

Creating an account:

  1. Log to KMTC website www.kmtc.ac.ke
  1. On the menu, click on the ​APPLICATION PORTALmenu item, the last item on the right side
  1. You will land on the online registration portal http://kmtc.ac.ke/portal
  1. If you have registered an account, log in using your email and password
  1. If you don’t have an account, click on the (Have no account? Register) below the log in form.
  1. This will land you to creating account form
  1. Enter your valid email and password
  1. Click on Create Account Button
  1. An email will be sent to your email address with a link to verify your account.
  1. Open your email and Click on the email link
  1. You will be redirected to KMTC portal.
  1. Fill in your personal information on the account creation form provided
  1. Click on the register button
  1. You will be provide you with a form to confirm your data
  1. Check information accuracy
  1. Click save changes.

Application Process

  1. On the left sidebar, click on the applications
  1. From the drop down menu, click apply
  1. You will be directed to option 1 course selection
  1. Select the Option 1 course level (eg. Diploma or Certificate or Higher Diploma/Upgrading)
  1. Click Search
  1. A form will appear within the page
  1. Select your desired course
  1. Fill in the form details as guided by the from labels
  1. Make sure that all fields are filled
  1. Click on submit application
  1. You will be redirected to Option 2 Form
  1. Select the course level (eg. Diploma or Certificate or Higher Diploma/Upgrading)
  1. Click Search
  1. A form will appear within the page
  1. Select your desired option 2 course
  1. Fill in the form details as guided by the from labels
  1. Make sure that all fields are filled
  1. Click on submit application
  1. You will be redirected to Upload KCSE certificate page.
  1. Select the KCSE certificate/ result slip soft-copy file
  1. Click upload
  1. You will be redirected to Upload leaving certificate page.
  1. Select the leaving certificate soft-copy file
  1. Click upload
  1. You will be redirected to Upload National ID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport page.
  1. Select the leaving National ID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport soft-copy file on the front side
  1. Select the leaving National ID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport soft-copy file on the back side
  1. Click upload
  1. You will be redirected to​confirm courses page
  2. Make sure the courses listed reflects your selected courses
  1. If you wish to change the course click on reject button
  1. You will be redirected to application page again
  1. Make a payment of Ksh. 2,022 to MPESA Business Number Number 964150 and your National id or Birth certificate number as the Account Number(Confirm that the payment is paid to Kenya Medical Training College)
  1. Click on ​confirm button
  1. If you get a message with a message (“Please pay Ksh. 2022 to paybill number 964150 To Confirm The Course”), Please wait for upto ten minutes and refresh the page.- NB- The Amount paid is for the whole Application Process.
  1. Click on the confirm button (Blue Button on the right side Against the courses.) or Reject button if you need to change the courses.
  2. Make sure you confirm all your courses.
  1. A confirmation SMS will be sent to your phone number.(Added as phone number 1 during entering of personal information)
  2. If you don’t receive two SMS confirming your courses please call KMTC HELPLINES – 0736993813, 0736212060, 0723000429, 0723004569, 0723004516.
  3. Click on My Applications from left menu to see your applied courses
