University of Nairobi Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
Minimum Admission Requirements
In addition to the common regulations for the Bachelors Degree for the University of Nairobi, eligible candidates must have at least Grade B (Plain) in English. Categories of persons to whom admission is open include:
(a) Holder of degree(s) from a recognized university.
(b) Holder of Advance Level Certificate with at least two principal passes or equivalent.
(c) Holder of KCSE Certificate with minimum university entry points of at least C+.
(d) Holder of at least a credit pass in a Diploma from a recognized institution in addition to KCSE Certificate with a Mean Grade of at least C.
The Council of Legal Education and the Law Society of Kenya oversee the post-graduation practical training for graduates of law seeking to enter the legal profession as advocates of the Kenyan Bar.
University of Nairobi Fees Structure For Law Ll.B (Module Ii) Degree Programme
- FIRST SEMESTER
- Tuition Fees.
Kshs. 15,000/= per 45 hours course
Kshs. 30,000/= per 90 hours course
- Other Charges.
Registration – Ksh. 1,000/= per semester
Student Identity Card – Ksh. 500/= per year
Computer – Ksh. 5,000/= per year
Caution Money – Ksh. 5,000/= once
Examination – Ksh. 5,000/= per year
Medical Cover – Ksh. 5,000 /= per year
Student Association – Ksh. 1,000/ = per year
Activity – Ksh. 2,000/= per year
TOTAL – Ksh.715,500.00/= 1st Semester 1st Year
NOTE: Foreign students are expected to pay an additional 20% of the total.
