Online Room Application for Academic Year 2018/2019
This is to inform you that the room application exercise for the 2018/2019 academic year for the above groups of students commences on Saturday 2nd September 2017 and ends on Wednesday 6th September 2017. You are therefore advised to apply to avoid any inconveniences.

57th Graduation Ceremony – Friday, September 22, 2017
The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students from the Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS), College of Architecture and Engineering (CAE), College of Biological and Physical Sciences (CBPS), College of Education and External Studies (CEES), School of Law, School of Nursing and Department of Biochemistry (BSc Biochemistry) who have qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2016/2017) and members of the public, that the 57th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to Central Catering Unit, Main Campus. The following is pertinent information:
CLEARANCE OF FEES
Only those who will have completed paying the fees due to the University by Friday September 8, 2017 will be allowed to graduate.
Each graduand must obtain a clearance certificate from the relevant College Registrar upon clearance with the respective Department/Faculty/Institute/School, Library, Halls of Residence and Games Department and pay a compulsory Graduation/Convocation fee of Kshs. 1,000/=
HIRE OR PURCHASE OF ACADEMIC DRESS
The academic attire will be available for hire between Monday, September 11, 2017 to Thursday, September 21, 2017 from the respective College Registrars for Diploma, Bachelors, PGD and Masters programmes and from the Deputy Registrar, Central Examinations Centre for PhD graduands at a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 3,000/=. Those intending to purchase the dress should contact the Deputy Registrar, Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus for details. The hired Academic dress must be returned to the respective offices byFriday, October 6, 2017 to avoid being surcharged.
The rehearsal is an integral part of the Graduation Ceremony. All Graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10.00 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court next to the Central Catering Unit.
(i) While hiring or purchasing the Academic Dress, each graduand will be given two invitation cards for two guests. Persons
without invitation cards will not be allowed into the Chancellor’s Court on the Graduation Day.
Children are not allowed.
(ii) Kindly visit your student portal for full details on information on the 57th graduation ceremony.
Graduands and invited guests are advised to arrive early on the Graduation day and be seated by 7.00 a.m.
